Best Salad for a Bacon Lover
This is the absolute best salad I have ever had. It combines two ingredients I love very much (blue chesse and bacon). And it's really easy to make.
Ingredients:
Redleaf Lettuce
Crumbled Blue Cheese (I usually use one 4 ounce package)
Crumbled Bacon (4-5 pieces)
Pine Nuts (one package is enough)
First, cook the bacon. Let it cool down.
Second, wash and tear the lettuce by hand. At this point the bacon should be cool enough to crumble over the lettuce.
Finally, add the blue cheese and pine nuts and toss. You've got a salad! I like to add a light Italian dressing. You don't want anything too creamy because it'll smother the other flavors. Enjoy!
Best Salad for a Vegetarian
Avacado and Strawberry Salad
Ingredients:
1 Avacado
1 head of iceberg lettuce
Strawberries
Walnuts, chopped
Cubed cheddar cheese
First, wash the lettuce and take the core out. Tear the lettuce by hand.
Second, cut the avacado in half and take out the pit with a spoon. I usually slice the avacado into wedges with the skin on. Then I take off the skin.
Third, wash the strawberries and cut them into bite size pieces. I usually cut them lengthwise then crosswise.
Finally, toss all the ingredients together. You can top with a ranch dressing or a vinegerate. Either way you'll have a sald with the benefits of veggies and fruits.
